5 MINUTES WITH PRODUCT STYLIST SILVIA HART

The neutral, minimal home trend has always been a crowd favourite. It is a wonderful base trend to build your own personal style around and has the age old trick of less is more.

We sat down with the amazing product stylist, Silvia Hart who gave us an insight into her home styling and how to nail the neutral in your own home.

What colours are best to use to achieve this look?

I have always been a big neutral fan. If I feel adventurous I add a splash of soft blush or my current fave: seafoam. I only use colour in accessories and keep all the main items as neutral as possible.

How do you balance ever changing trends with everlasting style?

I like to invest into my big ticket items and purchase neutral, quality timeless pieces; such as couches, rugs, bulky furniture etc. I then accessorise with a variety of pieces across all price ranges. This way I can always refresh accessories with new, on trend pieces without breaking the bank.

How do you use social media to showcase your style?

I’m quite new to the social media experience; having started my Instagram account only 3 months ago, I find it to be a great platform for visually showcasing my home and style as well as endless sources of inspiration. I will eventually like to research and look into other social media platforms.

Who is your style icon? How do they inspire you creatively?

I draw inspiration from all sorts of sources, including plenty of influencers on Instagram, Pinterest, as well as brick & mortar stores like Freedom, Jimmy Possum, Coco Republic.. if I had to name one key style icon it would have to the ladies behind @threebirdrenovations. They deliver the most beautiful spaces every time.
